Culture Mill believes in fostering a creative eco-system based on Abundance Rather than scarcity. By always paying artists according to w.a.g.e’s fee scale, and by gifting our studio space for artistic and community endeavors. In so doing, we are helping to build the soil for such an eco-system to take root and thrive in rural North Carolina.
It is equally important for us to stake a claim on how much time, energy and funding are required in such an endeavor. Artistic process, relationship-building, planning and execution of performances, gatherings and classes require resources to sustain at meaningful levels.

Through Patreon, you can become one of more than 60 monthly sustainers who give at different amounts. Whether you give $5 or $100 per month, every little bit helps us sustain Culture Mill’s artistic creations, community programs, the Culture Mill Lab, and the artists, staff, and collaborators who advance our mission and make our work possible. Furthermore, with each new sustainer, we are better able to demonstrate an extensive network of community investment to both public and private funding organizations. So just by signing up, you help us to leverage other means of support.
You can choose to give a one time donation online through our PayPal account with debit, credit or PayPal. Funds like this go towards being able to have flexibility in both our operations as well as our artistic programs. A one-time donation at any amount helps us to cover unforeseen costs and focus on devoting resources towards deep artistic processes that benefit both artists and community members.
